The Lemanak River is 230 km from Kuching, roughly 4 hours by road. You will be given a warm welcome by the longhouse chief and his community, with colourful traditional dances, blowpipe demonstrations and training of fighting cocks. Feel free to join in the Ibans’ daily chores such as making baskets and mats, mending fishing nets and feeding their livestock, before returning to Kuching by boat, then coach with lunch en route.
